Giorgos Alkaios has been described as a particular and restless artist, he started his career in 1989 after appearing in a Greek reality show of ERT2 “Ela Sto Fos”. After an extraordinary experience on his professional career in the field of theater, close to great people of the field, the artist turns to music, confirming the characterization of the “restless” artist. Combining Greek and oriental elements with contemporary pop music was that made him and gave a different sound to the musical events of Greece and opened a path for others to follow.
Until now, he has distinguished himself with 6 platinum and 10 gold albums. Giorgos Alkaios represented Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 with the song “OPA”.
